How we work

Family owned and operated, built to be here for the next generation.

Our story

We opened our first shop in 2020, after seeing how quickly the food supply can be disrupted. The same principles guide every company we've built since.

Every McPhee company is family owned and operated. We build them to be here for the next generation.

Family owned

Every company is owned and run by the McPhee family. We treat our team and customers with the same respect.

Local first

We hire, buy and sell close to home, because strong local businesses make a strong community.

Stewardship

We care for the land, the animals and our resources, and make full use of what we produce.

Integrity

We do the work the right way, communicate plainly and build relationships that last.

In practice

Showing up when it counts

When a local family was stranded in Bend and the tow company couldn't get to them until noon the next day, James drove through the night to bring them home so they could both make it to work in the morning.

Helping neighbors through wildfires

During forest fires, we've dropped what we were doing to help complete strangers evacuate their homes and get their animals out safely.
